If I dye my hair will the natural color ever come back?

I've never dyed my hair with anything permanent before, but tomorrow, I'm about to for the first time.

About 2 or 3 months ago, I dyed the bottom layer black with semi-permanent dye %26amp; now I want it all back to one color.

My hair is naturally light brown.

I'm wanting to dye it darker brown with reddish highlights.

I've heard when hair is dyed, it will never be it's natural color again, %26amp; I don't want to lose my natural color.

Is this true?

My hair has a lot of natural blonde streaks.

Those are what I'm afraid of losing.

If you colour over your hi-lights they will still be a little lighter than your base colour. Once hair is coloured you can't remove colour to reveal your natural colour u'll have to leave it to grow out. The black semi colour has proberly stained your hair and won't totally wash out as promised.

yes it will like depends on the color you died it and what color brand you use and yes eventually it will if it is black then it takes really long so striping always is an idea if you want you color to be natual

no the sun wont %26amp; you can cut the bottom part if u want. don't worry your hari will return to its natrual colour and if the dye was sami-permenet then it is semi-permenet it will come back!
