Do humans seasonally shed their hair? Some animals lose their thin summer coats and don winter ones.

I notice that in the late summer weeks, many of my hairs start falling out. However, it's not in a balding way, it seems to be more of an annual cycle. Thus, I'm wondering if this is normal and/or similar to the way animals shed their summer coats for thicker winter ones.

in general, no.... people will loose around 50-100 hairs a day year round

however, if your hair gets dry during winter you may loose more
