How can i grow thick and more fuller hair?

hello, well on nov. of 2000 i was diagnosed of a tumer on my left leg, i went thru kimo for about 2 1/2 years, i lost all my full thick hair. Lucky me i survived the cancer, and kimo stopped, but now i have a problem. when my hair grew back it grew thinner and way less hair, i dont know what to do i cant fix my hair how i want because i'll just show my bald spots, can someone please help, i've already been like this for almost 4 years.

How can i grow thick and more fuller hair?

First, you must stop stressing. Stress is a leading cause for hair loss. Remember, if you can survive cancer and chemotherapy, you can grow hair. So think positively and be patient. Wash and brush your hair. Do not use perms or over blow dry your hair. Vitamin E and Aloe are great root stimulants. Brush your hair regularly. I also use a mixture of mayonaisse and eggs as a conditioner. Don't laugh, I have some lovely dreadlocks. They are strong and long with little to no breakage at all. After about 2-3 months you should start seeing a difference. Have faith, and God Bless You!

Anyone know about hair?

alrighty.. i have been having a really dry and itchy scalp lately... i find myself being extremely irritated by this and it usually happens late at night. i'm scratching it sooooo much. umm i've also noticed that i'm using a lot more hair than i used to be. my hair is thinning and i'm an 18 year old female. i have been the the dermatologist... and they say i'm fine... but i'm gonna find someone else... i just want to know if having dry/itchy skin and dandruff can lead to temporary hair loss? b/c... i really am losing a ton more than i should for my age!!! my hair is curly so it gets tangly a lot... it just seems like when i try to get out all the knots, my brush is full of hair. any suggestions? or advice?

p.s. i'm more scared about my hair loss!!! i don't wanna go bald at 18! haha.. i may be over exaggerating.. but that's what it feels like sometimes. :(

Anyone know about hair?

my sister is a hair stylest you have to make sure u mosturize your hair try yogurt let it sit in ur hair for 10 to 15 min also use pantene pro-v and shampoos with aloe vera and remeber ur hair is prbably thinning because ur using hair products with mineral oils or fragrances which clog the pores try oranic hair care products these will also help and last thing let ur hair air dry and lay low onhow much heat u apply to ur hair. you can towel dry to.

Anyone know about hair?

Your dry itchy scalp is probably unrelated to your hair loss. Usually hair loss (alopecia) is caused by something going on internally. That could be a hormone imbalance, underactive

thyroid or a disease such as cushings syndrome which affects cortisol levels. First of all, though, you might try a dandriff shampoo or one formulated for dry itchy scalp. That's just to make you more comfortable by controlling the itching.

Next, I would go see an Internal Specialist or Endocrinologist. Since the Dermatologist didn't find anything, your hair loss is probably due to something internal. Through various blood tests, the cause can be sought out and treated. But in the case of some internal problems, the hair loss wouldn't be treatable but worry about that if and when the time comes. As far as your hair tangling, get a good conditioner so you don't have to tug at your hair trying to get the knots out. You're right, you shouldn't be losing your hair at 18, which is why I think there may be something internal going on. Your regular Doctor should be able to refer you to someone. Additionally, they can take a hair sample and study the follicle to see why it's dying. So, I would skip the Dermatologist for now and see an Internal Specialist or Endocrinologist. Hope you find the cause and that it's treatable. Good luck to you!

What the best winter hair style i should have?

I am stuck on styles with my hair. In the summer i have it lose so it can be sunkissed. But it is winter it has gone spilt ended and nasty. What shall i do?

What the best winter hair style i should have?

I have long dark hair and I dye it. I understand the dry thing and the letting it loose in the summer to lighten thing.

I would recommend using leave in conditioner and rolling the ends of your hair into some style.

ie: French twist with pieces hanging out... bun...

What the best winter hair style i should have?

I've decided to experiment with a couple of different wigs on the really cold days. When the weather is more comfortable, I'll be wearing it loose with body.

What the best winter hair style i should have?

THE STYLE RIGHT NOW FOR WINTER IS SOME CUTE CURLS LOOSE OR TIGHT ONES ITS A WARM LOOK FOR THE HOLIDAYS.

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

HELP! I'm a 26 yr old female and my hair is falling out! What can I do??????? Seriously, I think my life is ending. I can't go on like this, at the rate I'm losing, I'll be bald before I'm 30! Why is this happening to me? What can I do about it QUICK?!?

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

You need to see your Dr. ASAP. You may be sent to a Dermatologist. You might

have Alopecia. I have known several people with it. But no matter what the

problem is, you need to have it seen to quickly. Good luck.

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

Go see your doc first and foremost. It could be anything from a simple vitamin deficiency to something as complex as a metabolic disorder causing male pattern baldness (I speak from experience and one of them that can cause it is PCOS if you care to look it up just in case you were wondering about it)

Still, ANY drastic changes in what your body does normally need to be checked into, so go see your doc....and your hairdresser who may have a few suggestions for you.

All of this is assuming you mean massive hair loss, not the normal 70-100 strands a day. You also go through a thinning in your mid 20's natrually. At least that is why I have been told by hairdressers when I first started freaking out about mine falling out.

Good luck, HTH, sorry about your hair :-(

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

Change your shampoo

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

I think you do ayurvedic treatment

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

It could be that you are under huge stress or take in too much MSG. You could go to Beijing 101 for help.

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

Hair loss can be caused by any number of things, but in many cases the hair loss is attributed to alopecia, which is more of a non-specific syndrome than an actual disease. If you have alopecia, your baldness could reverse itself, or it could be permanent. One tell-tale sign is a loss of hair in large spots instead of a general thinning. Are your eyebrows falling out? Eyelashes? What about the condition of your fingernails?

You *should* see a doctor, but be prepared for confusion (many GPs don't have any experience with female baldness) and multiple referrals before you find a suitable qualified specialist. My mother went through this, and I sympathize. Good luck!

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

Usually the first thing we think is that it's a severe health disorder. But you could simply be going through a hair-growth period. This lasts 3 months and you can lose a lot of hair during this time as the new ones pop up. You should see the little baby hairs growing. Wear your hair in plaits to minimize the loss, it really helps me.

More seriously, you could be lacking protein or certain amino acids. When you are in short supply, the amino acids go to your muscles where you need them most, so your hair and nails get very weak and fall out. Eat a lot of fish and Omega 3.

God forbid, if your hair is falling out in clumps and your hair is now thinner you should see your doctor for a test for something more serious.

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

Is your skin changing color also; Michael Jackson started this way. Better see a doctor and forget this stupid idea of asking for help on Yahoo Q%26amp;A.

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

Severe hair problems may cause anguish.Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well.More such remedies at http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

Hi water, First I'll ask the questions. do you color, perm, blow dry, streak, either type, but if you do the one without clothing, please let me know, I love your look even with clothing on, You would be a goddess without them on, please again, don't leave me out if you ever strip. could be the water, your diet, stress, if lots of it is coming out, you should see a doctor, not sure what type, but please above all else take care of that outrages body, and mind too.

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

See a doctor straight away....There might be a serious health problem there.....It could be stress..... It happened to me a few years back and my dermatologists gave me some drops....They really worked.....

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

hi

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

go and see your doc, this could be caused by stress, or something else.

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

maybe it's stress, i'm 23 and ,y hair is falling out from stress. you can go to a dermatologist to see what's going on

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

c a doc.asap

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

Go to a Dermatologist: they know skin, hair and nails better than any other doctors!

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

Hello,

Hair loss is often caused by what we eat, and our over health in general. Take your vitamins and eat a balanced as well as exercise. Exercise helps the blood flow and gets more oxygen to the scalp. Great site to visit juliashaircare.com

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

hi

i had a similar problem... but mines was due to stress... if yours is related to that then... de-stress...the other thing that causes hair is a very dry scalp...do you have any dandraff? if you do... treat it ASAP. I used H%26amp;S. I also rubbed oil(amla and olive) into my scalp on a regular basis!

hope this help!

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

stress can often cause our hair to fall out as can over processing our hair. you should go to your family doctor and get him to get to the bottom of it. a lack of nutrients can also do it.

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

it's normal when about 20 hair strands had fell..

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

change your shampoo. :)

I am only 26. Why is my hair falling out??????????????

Possible causes:

Stress

Bad diet (make sure you eat healthy food and vitamins supplements)

Genes

medical case (see a doctor)

changing of seasons (winter to spring)

using hair conditioner on the roots (really bad)

Hair dryer that spins, everyone. PLZ DO HELP?

Among the various hair dryers, there's the one that has built in bristle which you spin manually in your hair locks.

Another which I'm dying for is that SPINS ALONE.

My hair is smooth %26amp; almost sleek, so I don't need the straighteners. But I found the irons can curl too %26amp; I'm looking for waves %26amp; a little more straightening though, not curls.

I need to know whether the one that spins alone with bristle is efficient %26amp; whether hair iron is better, as I prefer the one with bristle.

50 peices a day

What is the average amount of hair a person could lose in a day?

Depends. Are you going to the barber's on this day?

My grandad hardly loses any. He's bald.

What is the average amount of hair a person could lose in a day?

To be honest I have no idea. But I wanted to let you know that if you think that there is more hair going down the drain in the shower and more on your brush than normal... you're not alone. I'm the same way. Though I heard from somewhere that your hair has a seven year growth cycle. Every seven years you'll lose a lot of hair because most of the hair follicles are growing new strands.

What is the average amount of hair a person could lose in a day?

50 to 100.

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

Hi I am currently employed to Baker's Burgers Drive Thru. Its a fast food restaurant around the San Bernardino and Rivereside county. My hair is long but not long like a girls. From my opinion I dont even think its long at all. Well my manager has been telling me to get a hair cut for a while so when I do get a hair cut I tell that I got .5 inch taken off and she tells me she want at least an inch. She talked to me yesterday and she was all stupid about it and she was telling me if I dont get my haircut she doesnt want me to come in to work today and a whole bunch of other crap like saying that she doesnt want me to wear a hair net. So basically shes want to fire me. I was wondering If This was a good reason for her to fire me? What should I do? Im cosidering quitting the job what statement or reason for leaving should I write? Thanks any help needed...and please no stupid answers....

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

Unless it is a requirement of your employment conditions in writing then she cannot force you to cut your hair. Tell her that she cant make you and that if she continues you will have a harrassment suit lodged against her. If she tries to fire you for it then advise her you are consulting a lawyer about a wrongful dismissal case.

Take some legal advice if you can - however if you dont want the job then quit and let her know she is the reason you are leaving because of her poor people management skills.

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

Try getting a job at McDonalds. I heard they don't care if you put hair in the food.

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

Find out about your rights as an employee.

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

sounds like discrimination to me. If the girls can have long hair so can the guys. File a lawsuit against them.

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

She is really annoy but in the restauren you should get a haircut becuase your hair may fall into the food

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

I reckon it's reasonable for her to ask you to cut your hair if you work in a restaurant

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

if its stated in your company hand book then she could do it and say your being insubordinate... but if its not then talk to the coporate office and what not tell them your manager is harrassing you about 1inch of your hair..

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

Well... i am sure she is just concerened about what costumers will think about her employees and her. Talk to her politely and if she still wants u to get a haircut i think there is no harm, unless u end up looking ridiculous or if it ends up being really short. Try to compromise with her. AND DONT FORGET ABOUT BEING POLITE!

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

quit your job, the manager is UNFAIR.

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

I think you might do well to consider that an employer has every right to establish a uniform dress code which can define what is appropriate and inappropriate, including not only clothes but also hair length, piercings, facial hair and basically everything that has to do with what the customer will be presented with by a representative of the employer.

That being said, take a deep breath and try to be objective:

- do you generally like the job?

- is the pay fair for the job you do?

- are there other benefits to the job you enjoy? (close to home, like your coworkers, job duties are reasonable, etc.)

Now, would you have been okay getting more than 1/2 inch off your hair (which, seriously, is like nothing) if your manager had been more diplomatic and polite in the way she asked you?

If the majority of your unemotional, objective answers are 'yes', then I would suggest you take a deep breath, and go get your hair cut.

Being willing to compromise to keep your job doesn't make you less of a man - on the contrary, it demonstrates maturity, courage, and a real sense of your true identity - it's not about the length of your hair, it's how you respond to adversity, and if you're willing to rise above it rather than quit and run away.

Hope this helps, best to you.

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

You represent the company and they have the right to fire you if you do not meet their standards. You were warned and you basically blew it off. You need to change your attitude if you want to get a decent job.

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

i think that if girls are allowed to have long hair, then you should too. talk to the regional manager for the resturant, and let him/her know that you feel like you're about to get fired for something that is not fair.

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

Tell her that you want to see the employees handbook. If there is anything in it about hair length you will find your answer there. If you work directly with the public,You are representing the burger place.

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

It seems to me that after you took 5 in. off; she's looking for an excuse to fire you.

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

I dont think she has the right to fire you over your hair. All employees of a restaurant that are cooks are required to wear hair nets. Tell her that you will wear a hair net (if you are a cook) BUT that she doesnt have the right to tell you to cut your hair or else you are fired. DONT quit..... you may have legal grounds here and if you quit then you dont. Good Luck

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

Unless it is in your employee manual states a specific length, then no she has no grounds to fire you due to your hair. I would think in the fast food industry, you should wear a hair net if you work with food. so why would she crap about it? If she told you to take the day off however you may have just landed in the no call, no show department which now you really may have just lost your job.... Sounds like you have a crappy boss.

What to write on a application if you quit? Well, I think personal reasons would be acceptable or will tell at interview (if you are willing to talk about it).

Lose my job for not getting a hair cut.?

It is the food industry but if you are willing to wear a hairnet their shouldn't be a problem. Does she tell the girls that work there to cut their hair? I really think that she is being unfair to you. You did cut your hair it was her fault for not specifying how much she wanted you to cut it. Now if she wants you to do it again maybe she should pay for it? But, it really sounds like she's making an excuse to fire you. but if you need a reason to quit you can always say she is being unreasonable towards you personal style.

Perfect hair that never damages?!?

My friend has perfect hair! She highlighted it, she curled it with a curling iron, everything, and its still the silkiest hair in the world! But when my hair is highlighted, its rough, when i curl it, it loses its moisture and becomes dry. How do I get hair like hers?!?!?!?!

Perfect hair that never damages?!?

her hair souunds like mine. I've gotten my hair highlighted more than 10 times and it's still smooth.

Perfect hair that never damages?!?

She has naturally healthy hair. No hair product could give results like that.

Edit: Well, yeah, my hair used to be soft too, but that's all young children. Their skin is soft, too, but it doesn't stay like that forever. Genes and exposure kick in and if you have dry, frizzy hair, it's because it's a family trait, like my hair.

Perfect hair that never damages?!?

shes just lucky , you can try anything and it wout happen :( some people just get that luck

Perfect hair that never damages?!?

yep its just natural. mine's like that too. ask her what shampoo she uses and try it out though, worth a shot. conditioner too. if highlighting gives your hair a new texture, its not being done right find a new hairdresser

Perfect hair that never damages?!?

u r probably not using a good shampoo maybe u should but vitaim d it works for me and my hair was like yours untill i started to use vitaim d try or get a highliht shampoo bottle

Perfect hair that never damages?!?

Having naturally healthy/good hair is probably part of it. Ask her how she takes care of it, but everyones hair is different. Using a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner helps and also getting it cut often helps keep it healthy. =)

Perfect hair that never damages?!?

What I do is 1/2 avacado and 1/2 banana whipped up and then left in hair with shower cap for 15 up to 1 hour then rinse and shampoo and condition really well and tada! (I do this once a week.) I also add a few drops of jojoba oil and vitamin E to my conditioner thruout the week. ( I use burts bees "shine" shampoo and conditioner. www.burtsbees.com)

Hope this helps!!!!

My hair is breaking up with me!?

I am an african american woman and I need advice from other women of color on this one......My hair keeps breaking off, falling out. If you see my pic, that is a wig im wearing and yes, it has gotten that bad to the point i have to wear a wig. My hair does get dry and brittle. And yes I do, relax my hair. I have thin fine hair as well. Are there any products, tips, or anything you can tell me to help fight this losing battle?

My hair is breaking up with me!?

KISS it GOOD-BYE!No I'm judt kidding,I'm not sure on this one!!

My hair is breaking up with me!?

Girl, you need to start taking a multi vitamin. Eating healthy foods also helps. If you a relaxing your hair too frequently that could also cause dammage to your hair. Make sure to wrap your hair with a silk or satin scarf at night to reduce breakang %26amp; talk to a dematologist about your balding. Some of "us" have a scalp condition called alopecia which causes hair loss %26amp; balding. Good luck ma!

*By the way...since you already wear a wig, it might be a good idea to cut of your relaxed hair %26amp; start growing it out natural. Nobody will see it cuz it will be under the wig!

My hair is breaking up with me!?

I think you have already identified the answer to your problem. Relaxers cause hair breakage in most people. Many people can tolerate relaxers when they are young, but as they get older the relaxers start to take their toll and cause extensive damage. I suggest you consider going natural. Natural can mean completely natural - just wear your hair as it is in braids, or other natural styles, or it can mean straightened temporarily, as in pressing with low heat. Styling with Hair Gel?

I recently shaved my head and now that my hair has grown back, it seems to have to lost some of its "flexibility." I have some hair gel, but I'm unsure about how I should go about using it. I know I have to wet my hair first. When I try to first style it with water and then apply the gel, it doesn't work. (it used to). Is there a way to use to the gel to style it? If that makes any sense...

Styling with Hair Gel?

try one of 2 things based on your answer to this:

If your hair is longer then before you cut it: wet hair, towel dry, apply gel, slightly blowdry w/head tilted down towards floor while blowdrying to get hair to stand up.

If your hair is shorter: mist w/water then apply gel, but not too much, it will weight short hair down.

all else fails, cut it all off again and rock the baldie!

Styling with Hair Gel?

get some stronger gel or those sculting gel

Styling with Hair Gel?

Gell messes up ur hair cuz it has alcohol. If you wanna style it, go for small curves in the front and in the back just sorta purposely messey.

Styling with Hair Gel?

you should try using some hair glue or just put gel when your hair is dry and don't pile it all on. but hair glue is best it holds all day.

Styling with Hair Gel?

try pomade..its great and should work..my hubby uses it

Hair help please :)?

k my hair is SOOOO curly,

and its NOT nice curly,

its really really thick. its frizy and poofy and dry, and soo curly.

it is not nice TRUST me. :)

so i have been straightening it.

but i have a crappy straightener,

and also my hair is getting sooo dry and losing its colour.

please help :( :(

and even when i straighten it, it doesnt STAY straight for long at all.

and it doesnt get as straight as i would lik eit.

also, im thinking of getting a new straihtener, whats the best type?

and what do i do about my hair :( :(

Hair help please :)?

These are all great suggestions above me. When you get a straightner make sure you get a ceramic one. Not just a ceramic coated straightner but a real ceramic straightner. Also, definately use a serium or spray when you use a straightner to protect your hair. A great one is aquage shine spary. And be diligent, spary each section of hair individually to get the maximum protection and style.

You may also want to spend the money to go to a high quality salon to have a fresh cut and color and to talk with the stylist for ideas. They are always willing to talk with you. I have the same issues as you but I do spend the extra money for cuts and colors (about $250 each time) to keep my hair healthy and they way i like it.

Good luck :)

Hair help please :)?

go to the mall, then go to the slaon there, and buy a straitenr there, they work REALLY well, but they are expensive, 100$

Hair help please :)?

oh.. im sorry

ican fix it though.

first you need to get the bed head straightner its best for your hair cause it has oil coating around plates to protect and really straighten your hair. ALso put olive oil and egg whites in your hair to give it a smooth feel. Buy frizz conditioner and let it soak in your head for about 20 min. after your done with hair straighten it and it WILL work i promise.

Hair help please :)?

ok well i have really really straight hair and i love it!!! this is what i do

get pin straight herbal essences shampoo conditioner and spray

the spray is for right before you straighten your hair

get a chi straightner but they are expensive 130$ bbut i have one soo

**good luck**

Hair help please :)?

i have the same problem as you!! =(

Hair help please :)?

Well i CUSE THE CONAIR AND NOT THE CHEAP ONES OR i UES gOLDE N HOT AND MY HAIR IS THE SAME WAY AS YOURS BUT MINE ISNT CURLY... ITS THICKER THAN WHAT AND MY HAIR GOES PAST MY NECK BUT NOT TO MY SHOLDERS! MY BFF HAS THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM AS YOU AND SHE USES gOLDE N hOT.

SO BASICALLY i WOULD USE THE CON AIR ( NOT CHEAP) OR THE gOLDEN HOT %26amp; ARE NORMALLY NOT THAT EXPENSIVE

When will i get my hair back?

i loosing so much hair after delievery and my son is 5 months ld now . i am losing my hairline . if this is normal then when will i get my hair back. i just cant see me like that . help me. this is serious

When will i get my hair back?

It is fairly common for a telogen effluvium(hair loss) to occur in the mother several months after childbirth, resulting in the sudden and temporary loss of 30%-50% of the hair on her scalp. As a rule, during pregnancy a woman's hair is usually luxuriously textured.

This was a good website: http://www.intelihealth.com/IH/ihtIH/WSI...

When will i get my hair back?

I lost alot of hair after my last pregnancy. It was that bad that every time I washed my hair the drain in the shower would block.

I found that when I finished breastfeeding which was when the baby was 14 months old the problem subsided. I did not loose all my hair, it only appeared to be thin.I spoke to my doctor about it and she said that would never happen. See a specialist if it worsens. My hair has now returned to normal

When will i get my hair back?

Oh sweetie, I really feel for you, I know how frustrating this stage is. My hair stopped falling out when my baby turned about 6 months. she's 10 months now and about 4 weeks ago I started noticing that new hair was growing back in. Hang in there, it will grow back.

In the meantime, try to switch to a very mild shampoo and if you apply conditioner don't apply it to the top of your head, only to the bottom half of the strands. If you can skip conditioner, then go for it. Conditioner (although it's a saviour for me because I have very curly hair) can really weigh the hair down at the scalp and stresses the hair roots when you try to wash it out. Best to only apply shampoo to the roots.

If you are very concerned speak to you doctor and see if they can suggest anything.

It's so frustrating, I know, but it will get better soon. Good luck!!

When will i get my hair back?

Your hair is going through a shedding phase (called the catagen phase) due to hormones. When you are pregnant, your hair goes through the resting phase for 9 months. When your baby is around 4 to 6 months old, that is when shedding begins and it is normal. In a couple of months, you should see regrowth. Hair grows approximately 1/2 an inch a month. What you can do now is take a multivitamin that includes iron and B vitamins. Make sure your diet is healthy rich in omega fatty acids, protein, greens, fruits and dairy. If you continue to lose more hair then get your thyroid checked out by your doctor.

When will i get my hair back?

That's not normal . I have no clue.. :-/

When will i get my hair back?

I know the feeling, i already have what i feel is thin hair so after each pregnancy (this is my 4th) i dont look foward to the loss.

but their is hope, my hair dresser has turned me on to PHYTO hair products.

try it!

i know its a bit expensive but i found out it works!

good luck!

My rabbit is about 7 years old. He has lost a ton of weight and is loosing patches of hair. Will he

If not, how much longer does he have to live? he has been like this for about 2 months and he hasn't gained weight or grown his hair back. Im getting really worried! PLEASE HELP!

My rabbit is about 7 years old. He has lost a ton of weight and is loosing patches of hair. Will he get better

He's coming to the end of his lifespan, sorry.

I would try taking him to a veterinarian. There might be something wrong and who knows...he might live another year. Honestly, it just sounds like old age though.

This isn't enough to give me a clear idea of what the symptoms are to help you further. If he is dying and is in pain, the veterinarian may suggest putting him down. If he is doing well, he may be just be able to live out the rest of his days. Don't jump the gun, but don't let him suffer either.

My rabbit is about 7 years old. He has lost a ton of weight and is loosing patches of hair. Will he get better

get him to a vet. NOW

My rabbit is about 7 years old. He has lost a ton of weight and is loosing patches of hair. Will he get better

truth be told i dont think u want to read this but i think your 7 year old rabbit is not going to make it im sorry but it is also kinda old. he's finally come to the end of his rope and i dont know how much longer till he dies, just let nature take it's course and everything will turn out the way it should.

My rabbit is about 7 years old. He has lost a ton of weight and is loosing patches of hair. Will he get better

Samantha, it sounds like Bunny is going to die. When? I don't know. I would take him to a vet ASAP. I'm very sorry...

My rabbit is about 7 years old. He has lost a ton of weight and is loosing patches of hair. Will he get better

Rabbits generally live between 8-12 years of age. Although your rabbit is elderly, he is not so old that you should not give him medical treatment. Heck, we've got many rabbits in our rescue that are between 9-11, and they're in great health.

My rabbit is about 7 years old. He has lost a ton of weight and is loosing patches of hair. Will he get better

bring him to a vet

I have a hair problem?

ok heres the problem ever sence i had my daughter last march i have been loosing quite abit of hair...you cant notice. i have thick wavey hair..after i shower i lose some and when i brush my hair. anyone have this problem? what can i use for my hair? any ideas?

I have a hair problem?

You won't go bald. In fact, your hair should be back to normal by your baby's first birthday.

Here's what's going on. Normally, about 85 to 95 percent of the hair on your head is growing and the other 5 to 15 percent is in a resting stage. After the resting period, this hair falls out é–³?often while you're brushing or shampooing it é–³?and is replaced by new growth. An average woman sheds about 100 hairs a day.

During pregnancy, increased levels of estrogen prolong the growing stage. There are fewer hairs in the resting stage and fewer falling out each day, so you have thicker, more luxuriant tresses.

After you give birth, your estrogen levels take a tumble and a lot more hair follicles enter the resting stage. Soon you'll have more hair coming out in the shower or on the brush. This unusual shedding will taper off and your hair will be back to its pre-pregnancy thickness about six to 12 months after you give birth.

By the way, not all women notice dramatic changes in their hair during pregnancy or the postpartum period. Among those who do, it tends to be more obvious among women with longer hair.

What can I do about it?

You won't be able to stop the hair from falling out, but you can experiment with different hairstyles or products (such as hair thickeners or mousse) to give your hair a fuller look during this transition period.

Many moms, tired of scooping hair out of shower drains or sweeping strands off the bathroom floor, find that now is a good time to go for a short cut. Plus, a short, wash-and-go hairstyle can be easier to take care of when you have a new baby in the house and you're strapped for time.

A note to new moms with long hair: Strands of hair can end up tightly wrapped around your baby's tiny appendages, including his fingers, toes, wrists, ankles, and penis. This is called a hair tourniquet, and it can be quite painful for your little one. If you find him crying for no apparent reason, check carefully for tight bands of hair.

I just had my little girl in June and was losing hair like crazy. Seriously, like crazy. I thought it could be a thyroid problem but it wasnt. My hair loss just got back to normal in December. So it took a good six months. You're just going to have to wait it out.

I have a hair problem?

You need to have your Tyroid checked. Your hormones are probably out of balance. Also, look into changing your shampoo and conditioner. I would use products that are natural like Burt Bees or ShiKai.

I have a hair problem?

This happens a lot you are getting older my mom has the prblem but it usally always grows back. There is a conditon that I read about where a small girl became allergic to her hair and it all fell out. However I do not believe you have this problem because there are other factors of why you can be losing your hair. When you take a shower sometimes the water hitting your hair can knock hair folicles loose. Same with when you brush your hair. If you can tell that your hair is not growing back then ask your doctor about alopecia areata, which is the allergy. I you notice hair on your whole body falling out go to your doctor immeadiatly because you probably have alopecia universalis. That was all I could do to help you. I hope i have,

Lola White

I have a hair problem?

When you were pregnant, your hormone production was quite a bit different than the usual. Did you notice that you were losing much less hair? So, the hair that should have fallen when you were pregnant are falling now that your hormone balance has returned to normal. That's nature... There's nothing to worry about.

But if it doesn't improve in the next month, then it could be that you have a new condition of hormone imbalance, or that you are experiencing unusually high levels of stress (or is it the baby blues?), or that you have sebborheic dermatitis which requires specific shampoos, some of which are available over the counter. But wait before you start taking action...

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

My hair is falling out more than is normal...for quite a long time now...but suddenly, in the past coulple of weeks, it got worse....It's kinda creeping me out...I had really thick blond hair...and I am worried about losing it. I use Garnier shampoo, because it is said to strenghten your hair, but I see no difference. I did not ever color my hair or anything...all natural...

Could my shampoo be making it worse? Should I try another one? Are there any vitamins I should take? I am 15 years old

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

Go to the doc and asked him to check your thyroid levels

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

Go to doctor. Need checkup. Maybe it is health related or hormonal related given your age.

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

Glue it to your head.

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

Rogain...........

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

buy a wig.

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

Gel it it will hold it together it really works!!! and drink lemonade!!!

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

Have you been dieting? take a multivitamin that sometimes helps

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

tell your mom to take you to the doctor

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

Maybe its because you are not eating enough. I've heard about women who ate very little or not enough protein or carbohydrates tend to lose hair. Do you mean chunks of hair falling out, or a few strands? Its normal to lose a few strands of hair a day

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

you might need some vitamins.

i have the same problem.

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

You're only 15? Please go see a doctor!

It could be related to hormones or the water or some other changes. Think about what has been different in the last month that might relate to hair loss, but definitely get to the doctor.

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

Garnier is cheap shampoo. All their products are cheap. (Sorry, it's true!) Time to invest in something else that is better and very gentle.

Make sure you use a good conditioner. If you aren't your hair can brake off and it will look like you are losing more than you are.

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

if i was you i would get something so it would not fall down

and change shampoo and go to the doctor

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

MABE U R MALNURISHED

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

Ask the docter for medicated shampoo or go to the pharmistist and ask the to help finding the medicated shampoo.

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

First. Make an appointment to see a dermatologist, and go to your regular doctor and get a check up.

Second... try using products that have ingredients you can pronounce.. in other words use all natural products on your hair/body.

Third.. don't panic, if you are or have been under a great deal of stress lately, stress can make your body go through massive changes including hair loss so don't panic because it can and will make it worse.

Fourth... be aware of the medication dosages your taking ie... the pill, the patch, etc. or other prescription medicines or vitamines.

It doesn't hurt to take a vitamine for the hair however, you need to find out the source of the hair loss so therefore, make sure you start by scheduling an appointment quickly.

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

You definitely should see your physician or make an appt. I believe the hair loss is caused by a vitamin deficiency as well as some other contributing factors. I would definitely talk with you doctor.

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

TRY TO USE THE PANTENE SHAMPOO OR CUT YOUR HAIR A LITTLE AND BUT ANTI BREAKAGE CREAM IN HYOU HAIR OR FOR PEOPLE NOT TO NOTICE PUT MOOSE

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

Keep changing shampoos. Don't just stick to one. It will keep your hair in top shape too. I used to use the same shampoo and had the same problem. Then I switched and to herbal essences all better now.

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

Check out http://beauty.about.com/od/hairbasics/f/...

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

Well there are many things you can do.

First, you NEED to go to the doctor. So vitiamins may help. You might be low on some. I think its b12?(Ask your doctor) Also are you on any type of medicine? You could also use a thickining shampoo.

My hair is falling out! What do I do???!!!?

First off, calm down. Stress can be a big cause of things like breakouts and..HAIR LOSS. So whatever is bothering you, try to take a breath and relax. Do something to de-stress. Give yourself time to work out so you can be healthy, time to do something YOU want to do, time for yourself. Second, don't use Garnier. I tried that stuff and it made my hair stiff, like straw. I don't like that stuff. Pretty much all shampoos are the same, I like Dove a lot. Pantene makes my hair a little oily, but I like Herbal Essense, Neutrogena... Also, try to eat one egg (or two egg whites) evey day. Eggs are full of protien and vitamins B and E, which is what makes your hair, skin, nails and eyes healthy. It might not make your hair grow more, but it should prevent more from falling out. Strengthens you from the inside. Vitamins certianly wouldn't hurt but it takes about three months for your body to start absorbing "raw" vitamins fully. Oh, and if you have it for breakfast, it keeps you feelling more full until lunch. Added plus. Other than that, just make sure that you're eating a pretty balanced diet, and most of all try to wind down. My guess is that stress is a major factor. If you keep having this problem, you may want to see a doctor.

Sue over a haircut that ruined your hair and spirits?

A friend of mine went to this hair salon some weeks ago 2get a straight perm 4 about $200.It was nothing special so she went back 2get it a bit retouched without losing the style. But they'd chopped off her hair to a neck length, gave her bangs +dyed her hair. She did pay for the dye when she came out.The thing is the stylist was Korean +cause of miscommunication n language barrier she hadnt done what was asked. My friend went back there a third time 2ask her $$ back cause she was totally unhappy but the stylist had fought +promised 2make her hair better this time..naive I know but my friend rly hoped that lady would fix it.But guess wat they actually gave her a wavy perm +its all just one big mess! She never asked for anything they did 2her, it was just what they did 2 "make it better."

Now we're wondering if she should sue that place for wasted money and ruined holiday spirits. At least if we don't sue, what type of words could we use to scare her? This type of oppression cannot go on.

Sue over a haircut that ruined your hair and spirits?

that is a stupid thing to sue over. go to a different stylist that speaks english and have them try to fix it. why would you want to waste your time and money suing someone, when you could just stop giving that place your business and go somewhere else. Remember hair grows back. wasting your money when in a year the hair will be longer and the perm mostly or all the way gone seems ridiculous to me.

Sue over a haircut that ruined your hair and spirits?

I WOULD!

Sue over a haircut that ruined your hair and spirits?

Just ask for her money back. Don't sweat the small stuff. Hair grows back, and remember, it's all small stuff...

Sue over a haircut that ruined your hair and spirits?

Oppression... Are you serious?!? It's HAIR! it will come back! YOU went back THREE TIMES and you're blaming the stylist?!? Chalk it up to a learning experience, know better next time.

Sue over a haircut that ruined your hair and spirits?

If she spent 200 dollars on that then she deserves her money back, I don't think she needs to sue. I mean, I personally would be really mad with this place and feel like sueing but I don't really think she should. She probably feels like it's important to sue but when she does it she's going to feel really stupid when she hears about what other people say. So, do as you please, I'm just saying I wouldn't sue.

Curly hair?

ok i lost a bet and im supposed to get curly hair for a week or else this girl will blackmail me

do i use curlers or something?

Curly hair?

That is why devotees of the lord don't get involved in betting. It can get one into trouble. It is going to be a lot of work to do that. I use to be a hairstylist by profession. it could takes hours to get it curly. You can try putting gel in your hair then scrunching it up in your hands then wrapping a towel around your head until your hair dries. It wont exactly look curly but wavy and messy. I don't bet. The Pandavas got them self into a huge mess betting. They where Ksatrias. There are no real ksatrias in this age anyways.

Curly hair?

no use a curling iron!

Curly hair?

just use like. . . a curling iron and yes u can use curlers!:)

Curly hair?

curl iron....

Curly hair?

go get a perm! lol

Curly hair?

i think guys with curly hair are gooo hot i love them all but only if there hair is super long

Curly hair?

Buy some cheap hair scruncher gel from the drug store in the woman beauty product section, and after you get you take a shower, put it on you're hair, scrunch it with you're hands, and leave it to dry.

Curly hair?

no u should use a curling iron :D

Curly hair?

hah get a perm

Curly hair?

dude, if sum1 is trying to blackmail you, you should tell them to kiss your a**

Curly hair?

oh my gosh.. thats sucks...

well if your hair is kinda long then you can use curlers. if your hair is really short.. then your screwed.

sorry you lost that bet.

Curly hair?

um why dont you get a perm??? i like guys wit curly hair

Curly hair?

hot rollers - or a curling iron... whatever you do... DON'T get a perm!!!

Curly hair?

hahah yes you can use curlers. Get some mousse and a diffuser (attaches to a blow dryer) and that will help get it curly.

Curly hair?

if you dont have time in the morning to curl your hair with a curling iron then use curlers at night. lol good luck!

Curly hair?

maybe get some bobby pins and make a circle of strands in each section and wet with warm water and dry or let dry then take them out

Curly hair?

yes... of course

Curly hair?

get some curl conditioner and some styling mousse and let it dry by itself hehehehe have fun

Curly hair?

Don't give in to blackmail. It will never end. Deal with the basic problem.

My hair is extremely damaged, how can I get it healthy fast?

I have extremely curly hair which I constantly flat iron. Of course, the heat is absolutely killer on it. I've lost several inches off my hair do to split ends that simply break off. I'm hoping to get my hair chemically straightened so I will have to use the flat iron less, but my hair is so damaged right now no stylist would agree to it, and with good reason.

I'm going over seas in about a month and won't have nearly enough time to straighten my hair everyday, hence I'm really hoping to get this chemical treatment done.

Does anyone have any suggestions or products that would help me get my hair healthy again?

My hair is extremely damaged, how can I get it healthy fast?

Healthy hair tips:

Use a moisturizing shampoo condtioner and leave in creme. I reccomened Sunsilk Hydra TLC it leaves my hair soft and managable.

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled.

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week

Avoid combing hair while wet, use a wide tooth comb.

Deep condition twice a week

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water.

When using a conditioner leave on for about 1-3 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to have shiny hair

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers, curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in conditioner/creme to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

If you dye your hair do it atleast once a year, hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill your hair.

All of these products work great on dry hair:

My hair is extremely damaged, how can I get it healthy fast?

well from the sound of it, you really should let it go curly for awhile. there aren't too many really fast options, but pantene pro-v deep conditioning is really good for damaged hair.

My hair is extremely damaged, how can I get it healthy fast?

ask your stylist about doing a cholesterol treatment or go to a beauty supply shop and buy a container of cholesterol treatment putit on your hair and wrap it in a towel the first time i had this done my hair was so dry from straightening etc i could actually hear my hair soaking up the moisture from the treatment. now i do it everyso often just to keep my hair healthy

My hair is extremely damaged, how can I get it healthy fast?

try using pantene restoratives. there are shampoo and conditioner. it restores the damage done in a matter of weeks, it will probably be okay in about a month. there are three different kinds depending on which one you want.

"frizz control" "breakage damage" or "time renewal"

check out all three

My hair is extremely damaged, how can I get it healthy fast?

mmm go to lavonna's hair design!

My hair is extremely damaged, how can I get it healthy fast?

dont use the flat iorn so much becuse it will burn your hair. use split end shampoo and conditioner. it also might help if you condition shampoo then condition your hair again when you bathe. whait a while before you get it chemically straitened because it will fry your hair and make it worse. also use moisturizing hair producs that are not the horrible cheep ones. the clorine from swimmiing pools will also make your hair worse so wen you get done swimming shampoo well to get the chemicals out. good luck with your hair!

My hair is extremely damaged, how can I get it healthy fast?

Please don't even consider the chemical treatment. It damages the hair, and on top of the damage done with the iron, it will be a catastrophe.

The only way to nurse your hair back to health is TO STOP STRAIGHTENING IT. I'm serious, there's really no way around it. Also you should cut it to get rid of the split ends, as the damage is unrepairable.

The only longterm solution is to learn to wear it curly and maintain it that way. Of course, you may not want to make such a choice, probably for the same reasons you started straightening it in the first - you hate it because of peer pressure, you don't know how to take care of curly hair, or probably both. However, there really isn't a magical product that will make you hair healthy again without giving up the straightening.

If you'd like products that will give you the appearance of shiny, healthy hair, look for those heavy with silicones. Those are just temporary remedies, though , and won't repair your hair

Sephora has products for dry or damaged hair, from strengtheners to hair masks. check it out:

My hair is extremely damaged, how can I get it healthy fast?

You should get deep conditioning treatments at your salon. also you should wear your hear curly. You don't have to flat iron it you chose to thus choosing to damage your hair. if you get it chemically straightened you will regret it because it will never have the same quality as before. You should try Redkens fresh curls line. the shampoo conditioner and styling products because it will define your curls and make them healthy and well moisturized. also you should get all dead and unhealthy hair cut off so it will grow only healthy hair. Good luck. Hope I helped. Please add me to your contacts and email me w/ any hair questions you have via yahoo answers.

I'm growing my hair long and it's not as wavy, should I get a perm?

I'm 33 and want to have long hair once more before I get too old for it. It is naturally blond and thick and wavy. It is also tends to be very dry. I heard that thick, wavy hair just tends to be dry. Obviously, as it grows longer, it is losing its "bounce" and isn't as wavy. How drying would a perm be? I'd like to get a spiral perm, how expensive is that for hair that is about 4 inches past my shoulders?

I'm growing my hair long and it's not as wavy, should I get a perm?

shave it all off so you wont have any problems

I'm growing my hair long and it's not as wavy, should I get a perm?

Perms damage the hair shaft and cause breakage...this usually isn't an issue if you want to keep your hair the same length, but if you are trying to grow it out long, you might want to wait to get the perm until it has grown out to the desired length.

I'm growing my hair long and it's not as wavy, should I get a perm?

well find a beauty school they charge less and your hair is probably like that b/c you don't grease your scalp after you wash it

I'm growing my hair long and it's not as wavy, should I get a perm?

sure

I'm growing my hair long and it's not as wavy, should I get a perm?

I did the same thing. My advice, don't do it. My hair was very long(about 14inches past my shoulders) and I wanted to add volume and a little wavy, so I got a perm. It was horrible, my hair was very very dry and damaged and I ended up having to cut about 16 inches off. I regret it very very much.

But my sister got a perm when her hair was about as long as mine was and it worked great for her and she didn't have any problems. I think that if you do it, go to a NICE salon, because if you want to keep your long hair, it is more than worth it.

I'm growing my hair long and it's not as wavy, should I get a perm?

Don't give in to a perm, because perms aren't good. Instead, use a round hairbrush, and use that to brush your hair and blow-dry the roots at the same time to get "bounce". Get it cut as a feathered face-framing style so it doesnt seem too old-fashioned. Also have some straighteners handy.

I dunno why, i just asked a girl :D She says it works though!

I'm growing my hair long and it's not as wavy, should I get a perm?

Hi! A perm will stay curly untill you cut it off and it is very drying. Please don't get a perm unless you are very very sure you want one.

Quick question about wavy/curly hair?

When you are growing your hair out, is it true that the more it grows that the looser the curl pattern will be. Really, mine is more wavy than curly, and I cut it really short at first and now I notice that I am slowly losing the tightness of the curls.

Quick question about wavy/curly hair?

Yes, at least it's that way with me. However, alot of things can influence hair besides length. You can use different products to make your hair more curly if that's what you want. Go to the website below for lots of curly info, products, and a curly forum!

Quick question about wavy/curly hair?

yep and if you have really thick kinda frizzy hair, if you grow it it will go way and insanly frizzy!!!

Quick question about wavy/curly hair?

I have very wavy hair that is really long and the wave pattern underneath is still very tight. I've had it short and it seems to be the same long or short; though I think it is the general rule that the longer it gets the looser it gets. Having your hair colored with highlights (bleach) will lessen or eliminate the curl or wave over time as well.

Quick question about wavy/curly hair?

same here, but u cant help it if u want wavy dont do anything, if u want curly then curl it

Quick question about wavy/curly hair?

yeah

the same happend with my hair

What would be the best haircut for me (please see details, for hair experts only)?

I have thick, medium textured, wavy hair. I have a heart shape face. I have a few cowlicks in my hairline at my forehead and I have a high forehead. My hair is presently to my shoulders and I do not like having my hair any longer and definitely don't care for it short. I am overweight at this time, but am working on losing weight. What would be the best cut for me? And what would be the best way to wear my bangs?

In your answer please describe the cut and if you can, please direct me to a website which will show me the haircut. If there's a celebrity haircut that would look good on me, please state the celebrity's name.

For hair experts and serious answers only.

What would be the best haircut for me (please see details, for hair experts only)?

Well I think wavy is good. You might want to get high lights. You should cut your bangs off in the front but on the sides make it shorter then you regular hair.

My hair never looks healthy?

For some reason my hair has just stopped looking healthy to me. It's like blah, you just look at it and that's what you want to say. I've been trying to grow it out and it just feels like it's not growing also. The last time I got it cut and colored was back in June. So it hasn't been touched since. And for awhile now everytime I shower I'll lose quite a bit of hair, like when I shampoo I just get a lot of hair stuck in my hands that I have to stop and get it off to even finish everytime my hands touch my hair. It's really annoying. I think my hair might be weak i'm not sure. What are ways to get it back to looking healthy? And ways for the hair loss thing? And any recommendations on shampoo's that are like salon shampoos but you can still find at the store.

My hair never looks healthy?

I had the same prob with my hair!!!What I did was go to the hair cuttery and ask them what was up!!They touched my hair and told me that it was dry..and then they asked me if I used a hair a straightener and lots of hair spray and I said yes to both questions. They said that my hair needed some nutrients in my hair for it to be healthy and I had to try to put tham back into my hair and they told me why my hair was falling out its because your hair is trying to rebuild its self from all the damage u have done to it. so if u use a straighteners or lots of hair spray lay off the hair spray some and try to stop using the straightener if possible and they cut all of my dead ends off and then they told me some kind of shampoo would help my hair... here where I live there is a hair shampoo and conditinor its really good it worked in my hair and made it alot stronger and it had stoped making my hair fall out the brand is REDKEN and they have different labels on them like shining blonde whatever u no what im talking about well get redken EXTREME shampoo and conditioner expecially the conditoner!! it helped my hair and hope it will yours too!!

My hair never looks healthy?

Take zinc

My hair never looks healthy?

redkin, found at your local drug store or grocery store, is the best shampoo i have ever used, and ive used a lot of different brands. i used to switch brands every week to try to make my hair look its best i havent switched since i went redkin.

My hair never looks healthy?

get a trim, dont wash it everyday, dont use too many products, and U can take Vitamin B Complex, supposedly that does something but I dunno. Get Neutrogena Clean shampoo, it works pretty well.

My hair never looks healthy?

Ummmmm...... try conditioning it or go to a salon because girl your hair is really damaged from making it look like a barbies hair.

My hair never looks healthy?

Coloring might be bad for you hair, but cutting is not. It's the healthiest thing you can do for them. Hairdressers recommend to cut hair every 3 weaks! You don't have to do it but it would be much better if you cut them every 2 months.

Take a cure for your hair and try not to dry them too often!

Your hair will be fine! Don't worry!

My hair never looks healthy?

even if you are trying to grow your hair you still need to trim it. you'll find that once you've had a trim it will probably grow faster as well. you loose around 100 hairs every day, so i wouldn't worry too much about loosing hair in the shower. supermarket products aren't the best for long, healthy hair as they contain a lot of silicone and tend to 'coat' your hair rather than get right into your hair. try using a good protein treatment as well. also try using cold/coldish water when you rinse out your conditioner as it will help close the pores in your hair and keep it feeling soft.

My hair never looks healthy?

Try Farouk Biosilk Silk Therapy. You use only a dime amount so the bottle will last a good while. Same with CHI silk infusion- only use a dime amount. Also very healthy for your hair. A good conditioner for once a week use is Aveda Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment. You can go to aveda.com or ebay it. The Aveda Brilliant Shampoo and Conditioner is awesome, too. Also, take your vitamins, eat healthy, and drink lots of water. Good luck!

My hair never looks healthy?

I would suggest using hair vitamins... my hair was split, would not grow and just blah...I started taking hair vitamins about 2 yrs ago and it is halfway down my back..I take what is called Eluhair and can be found on the internet at Herbs MD or most drugstores online.. I have never found them in stores...also I did find some on EBay... but most stores carry hair vitamins which I am sure would work the same... I use biosilk by Farouk shampoo and conditioner which is found in salons... I would check with a doctor if u keep losing alot of hair... it could be some kind of imbalance in your hormones... Good luck and I hope you can get your hair back to normal.....

My hair never looks healthy?

Oh, the same thing happened to me! I would stop getting it colored, you know for about a couple of weeks (your hair) . Also make sure you get it trimmed at least every 3 weeks, so you dont have any split ends.

My hair never looks healthy?

IF I WRE YOU I WOULD GO SEE A DOCTOR ABOUT YOUR HAIR LOSS I DON'T THINK YOU CAN BUY SOME THING AT THE STORE.

My hair never looks healthy?

First of all, I would recommend washing your hair with a clarifying shampoo a couple times a week. Sometimes conditioners and styling products create buildup in your hair, making it look dull, without you even realizing that's the problem. I really like the one Pantene makes: http://www.pantene.com/en_US/products/co... (it's under $4 at any drugstore).

I would also buy some strengthening shampoo like Garnier Long %26amp; Strong Forifying Shampoo: http://www99.epinions.com/content_232800... . Garnier also makes amazing conditioners (I like the Sleek and Shine one)- and their products smell amazing. You can buy them anywhere for around $3-4. This shampoo/conditioner should strenghten your hair and prevent any more breakage. Make sure you are careful when you comb out your hair after showers-- don't tug too hard and make sure you are using a wide-tooth comb. Avoid heat styling and let your hair air-dry whenever possible.

You should also try some conditioning treatments to get our hair back in shape- when you have some time, apply a deep conditioner all over your hair and then wrap it in saran wrap. Then wrap a warm towel (straight out of the dryer) around your whole head. This will seal in heat and help activate the conditioner, so that it can really penetrate into the strands of your hair. Leave this treatment on for as long as you can (especially if you can do it over night).

As far as your hair falling out in the shower, people go through periods where they lose more hair than others-- if you are not eating healthily or drinking enough water, this could be to blame. You are probably not losing as much as you feel like, though, so I wouldn't stress about it.

Good luck!

My hair never looks healthy?

Looks like you need a trim and color. That'll totally do the trick. Try Shades by Redken. It is a semi-permanent hair color that refreshes your own color and adds so much shine to it. It's amazing. As far as loosing your hair, that can be triggered from variety of factors. Stress and health can make your hair fall out. There is nothing you can do, just stop stressing, if you are. As far as shampoos, try Matrix smoothing system in orange bottles. If you ever need really good hair extensions, go to www.linkinhairextensions.com. No glue, heat, sewing or braiding. Very affordable prices and lasts for 3-6 months

My hair never looks healthy?

Try using bumble and bumble shampoo and conditioner. It works really well and it makes your hair healthy again. also if you want your hair to look less dull, try putting some blond highlights in it. that would make your hair look like it has more volume and shine. Keep your hair trimmed once every month or two. Also I wouldn't worry about it falling out. As soon as you dye your hair at all, it seems like it falls out more but its natural to loose hair throughout the day.

My hair never looks healthy?

John Frieda shampoos - such as brilliant brunette, sheer blonde, and radiant red work really well for "livening" up hair. It makes your hair shine, and really brings out the color. You can get it at walmart, target, etc. It is about $6 for the shampoo and $6 for the conditioner. They have moisurizing products, as well as volumizing products. If you are scared about your hair thinning I would go for the volumizing.

Anyway, I use brilliant brunette (I'm caucasian with light brown hair) and it works great for me. My hair is soft, full, shiny, and healthy-looking. Try it!

My daughter has long hair?

i am white my 5 year old has long hair she has a semi formal graduation coming up and a recital the same night .i am lost of what to do with her hair she has to have it up for the recitle and down for the graduation in order for her cap to fit on her head any suggestion

My daughter has long hair?

you could put it up with a hair claw, that way you could just clip it up and when it needs to come out just pull the claw out and there shouldn't be to much of a mess unlike if you had a pony tail in it and it leaves that that nasty wave in the hair where it was at. the only problem i see with the claw is if her hair is really thick like mine but...i manged to make claws work so, lol if i can i think anyone can! lol good luck!

My daughter has long hair?

Why not put it up for the recital and then let it down for the graduation.

My daughter has long hair?

She should get a hair cut and tell the person about the graduation and they could help her out.

My daughter has long hair?

Put her hair in a bun or a pony tail or a bit of both for the recital and have her hair in a plait or out for the graduation its a simple matter of putting in and taking out a hair scrunchie!

My daughter has long hair?

put up in a messy bun and then you can just take it down really quick for the graduation and brush it.

My daughter has long hair?

I would go with the hair claw, too.

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

Last night a friend gave me some Loreal hair dye. It was the kind that you use when you dye your hair black then put it on the ends and streaks...REALLY RED. Well I have brown hair and did it anyways. My hair looks like I just escaped a fight and lost. It is as red as blood. NOW, I need to get it back to brown but someone told me I can't just dye it brown because it will turn orange...NO! Any advice would be great and I know I'm an idiot thanks for the note ;)

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

Ok I have experience in this. I dyed my WHOLE head super firehydrant red once and I couldnt look at it, it was so painfully red.

Use a good cleansing shampoo and wash the dyed hair twice for 3minutes each time (DO NOT CONDITION). Wait a couple days and the color should be lighter. Buy Loreal Colour Expert in a color CLOSEST to yours (I would reccomend going a shade lighter, because it will blend better as your roots come in and the highlights will really break up the color and correct any mistakes), also buy a "COOL" or "NEUTRAL" shade (the boxes will tell you if its a cool shade) to cancel out any red or orange tones. The end result I PROMISE you'll be happy with. Make sure you have a friend or your mother doing it for you, and I would place the color starting from tip to root (instead of the normal visversa). Follow the directions very carefully! I would say you should leave the color on your hair 10minutes longer then they reccomend. Place the highlights in natural areas (not streaky)- do random thin strands sweeping around your face line and very few strands in the back.

Good luck!

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

Consult a nearby GOOD beautician..

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

well red is the hardest color to get out of your hair. i have done this to my hair before and well i like it but then i am wierd. so my advice would be go to a professional. you really do not want to try and mess with it yourself anymore.

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

yes-go to a good beauty salon...

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

I would try to go to a professional for this one. My mother in law and sister in law own their own beauty shop and I wouldnt' trust anyone other than a professional to dye my hair, which I do every 6-8 weeks.

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

Wait a few days and try to color the red parts a light brown it should lighten the fire engine red a little.

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

Ohh, this happens to my mom all the time.

Dye it Dark Brown, that way your hair would be

Chestnut Brown.

Ohh and one more thing, Bloody Red is damn sexy.

Try keeping it?!

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

go to a hair salon. i wouldnt use those cheap hair dyes in the box! I tried to dye my hair and my roots came out orange! I had to go to the beauty salon. plus those cheap hair dyes they make your hair like straw..

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

you should consult a beatican that you trust and no cuz then you know that they wont screw up

but i wouldnt try dying my hair again

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

Use a very dark brown. When you do one over the other they make a nice dark auburn shade. Or if you'd rather have it back to exactly the way it was wait a week or two and bleach your hair and then re-dye it. But make sure you wait a few weeks because to many chemicals will make your hair turn brittle and dull, and in some people there hair falls out form too many chemicals.

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

ok,first go to a beauty supply store and by a color fix kit.temp color) this would tone down the red. but you should wait about a week before you do your hair again. then you should most likely have to stip out hte old color and tone over it.

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

You'll need to go to a beauty salon. My daughter did the same thing and it cost me 280.00 they spent over two hours on her hair they had to strip it and dye it black to cover it. She a natural brown and dyed it blonde but it turned yellow and white.

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

Is there an 800 number on the box? I would call them and ask what color you should use to return to your desired color. These people can be very helpful. My daughter goes out of her way to get that blood red Gothe look. You may have to condition more since your dyeing on top of a fresh dye job. I don't think you could get orange from brown and red. My daughter was red and wanted to have a more normal color brown for graduation pictures and we didn't have any trouble with orange. Good luck and your not an idiot.

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

omg that happend to me i got my hair dyed red and it came out bloond and orunge because the girl didnt use a filler the filler helps keep the color in now every time i dye my hair it comes out like 2 weeks later then i asked a hairstyleist what i should do she said my hair was damaged it mite be the same for you but i dont know

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

try washing n drying it as much as you can, i just went through a simular problem, the store products are ok to use, you just have to know to use ash or whatever, after washing a lot maybe then you should go to a hair salon, all is NOT hopeless, you can work with this. good luck forgot, you will need to use a good conditioner as well. also, i put baby oil in my hair for 15 minutes before washing, good luck again, hope this helps you some

Hair advice please...I screwed up?

Girl, you need to get to a professional hairdresser. You want to make sure they use the right chemicals on your hair so that the color is actually absorbed. You don't want your hair to get more damaged if you do it wrong again. Good luck!

My daughter has joint pain her bones hurts she is rundown and has lost a small patch of hair %26amp; gets dizzy?

im sorry im 99% positive its lupus

Symptoms

If you have lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus, or SLE), you may be extremely tired, have skin rashes, or have joint pain. If the disease is more serious, you may have problems with your kidneys, heart, lungs, blood, or nervous system.

Lupus symptoms depend on what body organs are affected and how seriously they are affected.

Fatigue: About 90% of people with lupus have mild to extreme fatigue. 4 Even mild cases of lupus cause an inability to engage in daily activities and exercise. 5 Increased fatigue is a classic sign that a symptom flare is about to occur.

Joint pain: About 95% of people with lupus have joint pain (arthritis) at some time. About 70% of people with lupus report that joint and muscle pain was their first sign of the disease. 4 Joints may be red and warm, and may swell; morning stiffness is also common. Lupus arthritis often occurs on both sides of the body at the same time, particularly in the wrists, small joints of the hands, elbows, knees, and ankles. 2

Skin problems: Up to 50% of people with lupus develop skin rashes. 2 These rashes are often an important clue to the diagnosis. In addition to the butterfly rash over the cheeks and bridge of the nose, other common skin symptoms include skin sores or flaky red spots on the arms, hands, face, neck, or back; mouth or lip sores; and a scaly, red, or purple raised rash on the face, neck, scalp, ears, arms, and chest.

Sensitivity to light: Exposure to ultraviolet B light (such as sunlight or tanning parlors) typically worsens the skin rash and can trigger lupus flares. Sensitivity to light affects more than 50% of those with lupus. 4 Some fair-skinned people with lupus are also sensitive to ultraviolet A light (sunlight filtered through glass).

Nervous system symptoms: The majority of people with lupus develop nerve-related problems, such as headaches and memory loss, ranging from mild to severe.

Heart problems: People with lupus may develop inflammation of the heart sac (pericarditis), which may cause severe, sudden pain in the center of the left side of the chest that may spread to the neck, back, shoulders, or arms.

Mental health problems: People with lupus may develop problems such as anxiety and depression. Such problems can be caused by lupus, the medications used to treat it, or the stress of coping with chronic illness.

Fever: About 80% of people with lupus will sometimes have a low-grade fever related to the disease. Over a third of people with lupus report that fever was a first sign of the disease. 4

Changes in weight: About 60% of people with lupus lose weight. 4

Hair loss: Up to 50% of people with lupus experience periods of hair loss, either in patches or all over the head. This hair loss is usually not permanent. 2

Swollen glands: Up to 50% of people with lupus eventually develop swollen lymph glands. 4

Raynaud's phenomenon: This condition, present in about 20% of people with lupus, affects the skin's blood vessels and may cause the fingers and toes to turn pale and white and then blue. The skin affected will feel numb, tingly, and cold to the touch. 6

Inflammation of blood vessels (vasculitis): Bleeding from the blood vessels can lead to small or large blue spots or small reddish spots on the skin or nail beds.

My daughter has joint pain her bones hurts she is rundown and has lost a small patch of hair %26amp; gets dizzy?

HAve an MRI done. Some of the symptons are similar to a brain tumor. Please, have her checked out head to toe ASAP.

I'm praying for her.

My daughter has joint pain her bones hurts she is rundown and has lost a small patch of hair %26amp; gets dizzy?

First, Don't give up on doctors. Try a rheumatology practice or clinic. The rundown and joint pain point in that direction. The rash on her face, coupled with the other symptoms could be indicative of "Lupus."

But please don't go on line to try to get treatment. Get her to a doctor. If it isn't Lupus or any rheumatological disorder, they can make a better referral.

Good luck. We never stop being mom no matter how old our children are, do we?l

My daughter has joint pain her bones hurts she is rundown and has lost a small patch of hair %26amp; gets dizzy?

Your daughter has so many complaints and physical problems I would pursue getting some type of diagnosis..I think in this forum to ask people what they think it is is a dangerous thing to ask..as a nurse I wouldn't begin to speculate what she might have going on..Please take her to a competent physician and make sure you get a good physical evaluation of her symptoms..this may be something very simple and easily treated but speculation doesn't diagnose and correctly treat the problem..Good luck and God Bless you and her...

My daughter has joint pain her bones hurts she is rundown and has lost a small patch of hair %26amp; gets dizzy?

Well, without knowing exactly what all this might be, I still would strongly recommend a one-time treatment called Atlasprofilax.

It boosts the self-healing power of the body and the soul in an amazing way - I've experienced it myself.

Just - it's available in California and Europe only, costing approx. 220 dollars. Even to travel far is really worthwile! :-)

Good luck!

Vitamin deficiency could be the simple solution.

My daughter has joint pain her bones hurts she is rundown and has lost a small patch of hair %26amp; gets dizzy?

Has she ever had any type of spinal injury? She may need to consult with an orthopedic specialist.

My daughter has joint pain her bones hurts she is rundown and has lost a small patch of hair %26amp; gets dizzy?

I agree with ashli K about testing for lupus, but also investigate vasculitis. I had the same symptoms for two years until I went to a rhuematologist trained in immunology who ran the correct tests to diagnose me. In the meantime, I had a host of other doctors who put me on so much medication that didn't help or solve the problem. Good Luck and God Bless!

My daughter has joint pain her bones hurts she is rundown and has lost a small patch of hair %26amp; gets dizzy?

my first impression is lupus

Could I straighten permed hair with an iron?

I want to straighten it with my flat iron but I dont know if itll ruin it and take all my curls away. I got i permed like in the beginnings of January. The hairdresser didnt want me to get it permed cause my hair was already really dry but I got it done anyhow. I brush my hair with a brush cause it really tangly so it yea it's dry but can I straighten it once or twice without losing my curls that I paid for!! How should I care for it..

Could I straighten permed hair with an iron?

NO. you can't straighten you're hair with an iron, it will destroy it. go back to your hairdresser and see what they can do.

Could I straighten permed hair with an iron?

yeah shud be able to - perms change certain bonds in the hair structure permanently, where as blow drying and straightening doesnt change the hair structure permanently.

if ur hairs tangling up - use a deep conditioning treatment ( a reconstructor will help repair the hair) and a leave in conditioner to help detangle and add moisture 2 the hair.

when straightening, use a thermal protection spray

*** to reverse a perm involves using more chemicals - same chemicals used for a perm but to relax instead and tht does kill ur hair

****did they not teach u hairdressin megan - ur is NOT "burned" to make it curly, perm lotion breaks and changes the bonds in the hair permanently...neutriliser is added to make sure the hair stays in its new shape...i.e. evn if the hair is straightened or what not if u wash the hair it will go bk to its new shape - curly. if u keep doing comditioing treatments - reconstructing 1s, ur helping to repair any damage to the hair

Could I straighten permed hair with an iron?

You could, but you'd burn and kill it. Go to ur hair dresser and have them remove the perm.

Could I straighten permed hair with an iron?

My wfe got a perm in jan. Cost 80 bucks and she uses her straighting iron every morning before work. Her hair dresser would not de perm her hair because it is in bad shape also. But she makes it straight every morning and it looks great

Could I straighten permed hair with an iron?

For all the dumb asses that said "yes", u must be shot now.

I am a hair condolent. You can not straiten a permed hair. It's just imposible for it to look good. If you got the perm, then you have to live with it for about three months, or just got back to the salon and get it fixed. The perming of the hair can not be ironed, because the hair forlocels already been burned to get it curly in the first place. Stratining it will just make it fall out.

Take my advise.

Could I straighten permed hair with an iron?

dont straighten it right away use this shampoo for about a week

http://www.herbalessences.com/us/collect...

then straighten it

Could I straighten permed hair with an iron?

Yes, once in awhile is fine. Although, don't waste your money on Dangerously Straight Shampoo and Conditioner from Herbal Essences. Complete waste of time. Instead, get Pantene Pro-V's Hydrating Curls collection. This makes my permed hair SO much more hydrated and less dry. So YES, you can straighten your hair every once in awhile- and believe in me- get Pantene Pro-V Hydrating Curls. It works so well.
