Styling with Hair Gel?

I recently shaved my head and now that my hair has grown back, it seems to have to lost some of its "flexibility." I have some hair gel, but I'm unsure about how I should go about using it. I know I have to wet my hair first. When I try to first style it with water and then apply the gel, it doesn't work. (it used to). Is there a way to use to the gel to style it? If that makes any sense...

try one of 2 things based on your answer to this:

If your hair is longer then before you cut it: wet hair, towel dry, apply gel, slightly blowdry w/head tilted down towards floor while blowdrying to get hair to stand up.

If your hair is shorter: mist w/water then apply gel, but not too much, it will weight short hair down.

all else fails, cut it all off again and rock the baldie!

Gell messes up ur hair cuz it has alcohol. If you wanna style it, go for small curves in the front and in the back just sorta purposely messey.

you should try using some hair glue or just put gel when your hair is dry and don't pile it all on. but hair glue is best it holds all day.
