I have no black (not that thats a bad thing) in my family what so ever and I end up with insane curly hair like to the point of a fro! The gel in my hair looks nasty all the time and I love my curly hair though and don't want to lose it because it would be like loosing a part of me! I need help such as tricks, tips or w/e you can give me! Not expensive either! And blow drying is BAD!!! lol

You are right, blow drying is bad. Really, any kind of heat is not too good for your hair. You should try eliminating heat from your routine, washing your hair with conditioner(called no-pooing, you can find out more info on this on naturallycurly.com), adding a little frizz serum to your hair, and let it air dry. add defrizz cream, deep condition(leave in) and moose after u shower. thats what i do also cut it the right length and dont heat style it 2 much

try to straighn it cuz it will show your layers if u do have sum

and use a serum after

1)put any anti-frizz product

2)straight it

3)Put serum so it will give a nice shine=)

and after ur layers tease it up a bit and ur ready to go

my sister has that same kind of curl she has had it for years and i have taught her how to manage her curl from what i see u have the same problem she use to What she does is use pantene shampoo extra frizzy or wavy or extra dry and the conditioner too. Then she puts some kind of leave in conditioner in a white bottle with brown letters. ( have been sittng here 30 min trying to think of the name of it)i might have to get back to ya

Well first yu need to use a good deep conditioner, then use a leave in conditioner and let dry. put a spray tht will stop the heat from hurting...call me for the name...the layer by layer straighten it in little pieces at a time.. hope this helps nyna =]
