Kinked curly hair?

I have long curly hair, but it never looks nice. It's always all kinky and frizzy. I do use Aveda curl products, which do make my hair so soft, but not good enough. And using a defrizzer while blowdrying makes it VERY poofy and also sorta frizzy. Gel makes my hair get very heavy and it loses all it's body at the top. What should I do?

Less shampoo, more conditioner. Shampoo makes curly hair poofier. I haven't used a regulat shampoo since June, and hair hair is far better now. Nice defined corkscrew curls and much less frizz.

Omg! my hair is exactly the same way! It drives me crazy! But what seems to work for me is Aussie Mega Gel. It makes the curls soft and defined. And also I use Curl Life shampoo %26amp; conditioner. It's kinda pricey but it's worth it. They sell it at most salons like JC Penny. Try using these products, they should work. They work for me and I get compliments on my hair all the time.
